Three-year-old Class Curriculum
The average three-year-old is very curious about her environment,
and anxious to interact with her peers. At the pre-school level,
children spend much time learning through play.
The threes'
curriculum will enable the child not only to develop her self-image,
but also to learn about the world around her. She will experience
growth in language development, social skills, and motor activity in a
warm and friendly atmosphere.
The following topics are arranged according to holidays and seasons.
The topics may be varied, depending on the group's interest.
September: get acquainted, body awareness, family and friends.
October: autumn, colors, shapes, Halloween.
November: food and nutrition, birds - preparing for winter, Indians and pilgrims, Thanksgiving.
December: giving and sharing, holiday sights and sounds, Hanukkah, Christmas.
January: winter, number recognition, alphabet, nursery rhymes.
February: feelings and emotions, Valentine's Day, community helpers, transportation.
March: weather, insects, spring, senses.
April: spring holidays, plants and flowers, animals.
May: pets, Mother's Day,
circus, all about me, summer safety.
